TaskRemindering Terms of Use

Effective date: August 6, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of TaskRemindering, including the website, web application, mobile applications, reminder tools, calendar views, account dashboards, website billing pages, support channels, administrative tools, APIs, and related services.

TaskRemindering is operated by Daftrah LLC. Contact: support@taskremindering.com

By creating an account, using the service, starting a free trial, purchasing a paid plan through an approved purchase channel, uploading a mobile app build for review, or clicking to accept these Terms, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

If you use the service for a company, family, team, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, you and your organization are both responsible for complying with these Terms.

1. The Service

TaskRemindering is a reminder, scheduling, and productivity service. Depending on your plan and device permissions, the service may include:

  • Individual reminders and task scheduling.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and supported custom recurring reminders.
  • In-app, email, and push notification reminders.
  • Notification offsets, including at-time reminders and reminders before the primary due time.
  • Calendar-style reminder views.
  • Categories, templates, priorities, notes, external links, and reminder history.
  • Private and shared reminders.
  • Family, company, team, employee, and workspace management features.
  • Website billing, subscription, trial, and invoice management through Stripe.
  • iOS App Store subscription purchases, entitlement sync, and Apple-managed subscription status.
  • Support tools and administrative tools.
  • Website APIs and mobile API access.

The service is designed for organization and productivity. It is not a legal, financial, tax, medical, emergency, life-safety, security-monitoring, compliance, or professional advisory service.

2. Eligibility

You may use the service only if you:

  1. Are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live; or
  2. Are allowed by applicable law to use the service with consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian; and
  3. Can enter into a legally binding agreement.

The service is not directed to children under 13. Users under 16 may use the service only where legally permitted and with any required consent.

You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so by applicable law, sanctions rules, export controls, app-store rules, payment-processor rules, or a prior suspension by us.

3. Accounts and Authentication

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or maintaining an account.

The service uses Supabase authentication for email/password login, email verification, password reset, and session management. You are responsible for maintaining control of your email account, password, devices, authentication sessions, and workspace invitations.

You agree to:

  • Keep login credentials confidential.
  • Use a strong password.
  • Promptly update inaccurate account, profile, billing, or timezone information.
  • Notify us at support@taskremindering.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account unless caused by our own breach of these Terms.

We may require verification, re-authentication, additional security steps, or administrator approval before permitting sensitive changes.

4. Workspaces, Companies, Families, and Employees

Some plans allow shared workspaces for companies, families, teams, managers, employees, and other members.

Workspace owners and authorized administrators may be able to:

  • Invite, create, update, suspend, or remove member and employee accounts.
  • Manage workspace billing and subscription status.
  • View, create, update, assign, complete, archive, or delete shared reminders.
  • View workspace activity logs.
  • Control workspace names, roles, statuses, and settings.

If you join a workspace, information you create or share in that workspace may be visible to authorized owners, administrators, managers, and members.

Workspace owners are responsible for obtaining any notices, consents, permissions, and legal bases needed to add employees, contractors, family members, customers, or other individuals to the service.

5. Reminders, Notifications, and Timezones

The service can schedule reminders and recurring reminders. For recurring reminders, Done this time is intended to move the reminder to the next scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or supported custom occurrence. Done for all is intended to complete the recurring series where available.

Reminder times depend on the applicable profile timezone, mobile device timezone, device permissions, server time, queue processing, and third-party delivery systems. The mobile app may require location permission to keep reminder times aligned with your current timezone.

You understand and agree that reminders and notifications may be inaccurate, delayed, blocked, duplicated, missed, or unavailable due to:

  • Incorrect reminder settings, timezone settings, profile settings, or device settings.
  • Denied or disabled location, notification, background, email, or internet permissions.
  • Apple, Google, Expo, browser, email, operating-system, carrier, firewall, or network behavior.
  • Payment status, plan limits, subscription problems, or account restrictions.
  • Bugs, maintenance, queue delays, server issues, database issues, clock differences, third-party outages, or force majeure events.

You remain solely responsible for monitoring deadlines, renewals, appointments, payments, filings, licenses, subscriptions, obligations, and important events.

Do not use the service for emergencies, life-safety alerts, medical monitoring, security monitoring, mission-critical legal deadlines, financial trading, or any situation where a missed or delayed reminder could cause injury, legal liability, financial loss, regulatory exposure, or other serious harm.

6. User Content

User Content means reminders, notes, dates, categories, priorities, external links, workspace names, member names, support messages, and any other content or information you submit, create, upload, transmit, or store through the service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant TaskRemindering a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license to host, store, process, copy, transmit, display, backup, secure, analyze, and use User Content as necessary to provide, operate, improve, protect, and support the service.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and that your User Content does not violate law, these Terms, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights, employment obligations, confidentiality duties, or third-party rights.

Do not upload full payment card numbers, government ID numbers, protected health information, bank passwords, private cryptographic keys, classified information, highly regulated data, or other sensitive information unless the service expressly supports it and you have our prior written permission where required.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the service for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or exploitative purposes.
  2. Violate any law, regulation, court order, contract, intellectual-property right, privacy right, publicity right, or third-party right.
  3. Upload malware, harmful code, scripts, spyware, or other destructive material.
  4. Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, APIs, databases, payment systems, notification systems, infrastructure, source code, credentials, logs, or non-public features.
  5. Bypass authentication, authorization, plan limits, billing controls, rate limits, usage limits, security controls, or technical restrictions.
  6. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, crawl, copy, reproduce, frame, mirror, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or commercially exploit the service except where applicable law forbids the restriction.
  7. Use bots, automated scripts, crawlers, scrapers, data-mining tools, or load-testing tools without our prior written permission.
  8. Interfere with service stability, availability, performance, security, or other users.
  9. Misrepresent your identity, authority, age, location, company relationship, payment information, or entitlement to use a workspace.
  10. Use the service to build, train, or improve a competing product by unauthorized access, extraction, copying, or benchmarking.
  11. Send spam, phishing, unsolicited commercial messages, fraudulent reminders, deceptive payment requests, or unlawful notifications.
  12. Abuse support channels, billing systems, refund processes, disputes, chargebacks, promotions, trials, employee accounts, or workspace invitations.
  13. Use the service in violation of sanctions, export controls, anti-corruption, anti-money-laundering, consumer-protection, employment, privacy, or data-protection laws.

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, termination, deletion, refusal of refunds, reporting to authorities, or legal action.

8. Plans, Trials, Billing, Stripe, and App Stores

The service may offer free plans, monthly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, trials, family plans, company plans, employee limits, reminder limits, and paid features.

Paid plans purchased through the website are processed through Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal. By starting a paid plan or a trial that converts to a paid plan through the website, you authorize TaskRemindering and Stripe to charge applicable fees, renewals, taxes, upgrades, add-ons, and other amounts disclosed during checkout or billing management.

Paid digital subscriptions purchased inside the iOS mobile app are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase. The iOS mobile app does not offer Stripe Checkout, the Stripe billing portal, or external purchase links for in-app subscription purchases. iOS users may sign in to access accounts, workspaces, reminders, or subscription entitlements obtained outside the app where app-store rules allow that access.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
  • Monthly plans renew monthly.
  • Annual plans renew yearly.
  • Trials convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial unless canceled before conversion.
  • Prices may vary by plan, billing interval, jurisdiction, taxes, currency, promotion, or app-store channel.
  • You are responsible for taxes, duties, and government charges.
  • A company or workspace owner is responsible for workspace billing and member usage.

Stripe and app stores may apply their own terms, payment rules, tax rules, fraud rules, dispute rules, refund rules, and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party payment-processing failures, delays, holds, rejections, risk reviews, outages, or account actions.

9. Cancellation, Refunds, Disputes, and Chargebacks

You may cancel a subscription through the website account settings, Stripe billing portal, app-store subscription tools where applicable, TaskRemindering support, or another cancellation method we provide.

Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges. Unless required by law or expressly approved by us in writing:

  • Fees are non-refundable.
  • Partial billing periods are not refunded.
  • Annual plans are not prorated after purchase.
  • Promotional, trial-conversion, and discounted fees are not refundable.
  • Paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact support@taskremindering.com before filing a chargeback so we can review it. We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraudulent disputes, abusive chargebacks, unpaid balances, or payment-method misuse.

Mandatory consumer cancellation, refund, withdrawal, cooling-off, or app-store rights remain available where applicable law requires them.

10. Failed Payments and Account Restrictions

If payment fails, if a subscription becomes past due, or if Stripe, an app store, or another processor flags a payment issue, we may retry payment, send notices, restrict paid features, downgrade the account, limit workspace access, disable employee features, pause notification features, cancel the subscription, or terminate access.

You remain responsible for unpaid amounts, chargebacks, taxes, and costs permitted by law.

11. Mobile Applications and App Stores

The mobile application is a React Native application with a native iOS build and selected Expo modules for features such as notifications, secure storage, and device information.

Use of the mobile application may also be governed by Apple App Store, Google Play, TestFlight, app-store review, device, operating-system, and platform rules. The current iOS app uses Apple's In-App Purchase for paid digital subscriptions and does not provide Stripe purchase links for those in-app subscriptions. Apple, Google, and other app stores are not responsible for the service, support, warranties, claims, content, or disputes except where their own terms or applicable law require otherwise.

Mobile features may require permissions, including notifications and location. If you deny or disable permissions, affected features may not work.

12. Third-Party Services

The service currently uses or may interact with third-party services such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Expo, Apple, Google, hosting providers, domain providers, email providers, app stores, and infrastructure providers.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, pricing, data practices, errors, downtime, suspensions, rejections, delays, or failures.

We may add, change, or remove third-party providers or integrations as the service evolves.

13. Intellectual Property

The service, including software, code, APIs, design, user interface, graphics, icons, logos, templates, workflows, text, databases, documentation, trade names, trademarks, and branding, is owned by Daftrah LLC, TaskRemindering, or their licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws.

Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, display, create derivative works from, or exploit any part of the service without prior written permission.

14. Feedback

If you submit ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, improvements, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, modify, commercialize, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation.

15. Copyright and Trademark Complaints

If you believe content in the service infringes your copyright or trademark rights, contact:

TaskRemindering / Daftrah LLC Email: support@taskremindering.com

Your notice should include your contact information, identification of the protected work, identification of the allegedly infringing material, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, a statement that the information is accurate, and a physical or electronic signature.

We may remove content, disable access, or terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. By using the service, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

17. Administration, Security, and Support

Authorized TaskRemindering personnel, contractors, service providers, and administrators may access account, workspace, reminder, billing, support, security, and log information where reasonably necessary to provide support, operate the service, investigate issues, enforce policies, comply with law, protect the service, or administer the platform.

You may not interfere with security systems, logging systems, monitoring systems, billing systems, database protections, app-store review processes, or abuse-prevention controls.

18. Service Changes, Availability, and Maintenance

We may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, replace, restrict, or remove any part of the service at any time.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, compatible with every device, accepted by every app store, or available in every jurisdiction.

Maintenance, security updates, cloud-provider outages, database changes, payment-processor outages, app-store issues, push-notification failures, email-provider failures, and emergency repairs may occur with or without notice.

19. Data Loss and Backups

We use reasonable operational practices, but you are responsible for keeping independent copies of information that is important to you or your organization.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost reminders, missed deadlines, corrupted data, deleted data, failed exports, delayed notifications, unavailable backups, or inability to access User Content.

20. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, workspace, subscription, mobile access, API access, or User Content if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • Payment fails or is disputed.
  • Your use creates legal, financial, operational, security, payment, app-store, reputation, or abuse risk.
  • Your account appears fraudulent, abusive, automated, compromised, unlawful, or harmful.
  • We are required or asked to do so by law, court order, regulator, app store, payment processor, service provider, or rights holder.
  • Continuing to provide the service becomes commercially or technically impractical.

You may stop using the service at any time and may initiate account deletion from the mobile app Account screen or request deletion help as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute provisions, and retention rights.

21. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskRemindering and Daftrah LLC disclaim all warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, and error-free operation.

We do not warrant that reminders will be delivered, that recurring reminders will always calculate correctly, that timezone detection will always be accurate, that data will never be lost, that defects will be corrected, or that third-party systems will operate without interruption.

No information provided through the service is professional legal, medical, financial, tax, compliance, emergency, or safety advice.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskRemindering, Daftrah LLC, their affiliates, owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, processors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages; lost profits; lost revenue; lost savings; lost data; lost reminders; missed deadlines; payment penalties; business interruption; reputational harm; replacement services; or third-party failures, even if advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid to TaskRemindering for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • 100 U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

23. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TaskRemindering, Daftrah LLC, their affiliates, owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, processors, and service providers from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, expenses, and fees, including reasonable attorneys fees, arising from or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the service.
  • Your User Content.
  • Your reminders, deadlines, notifications, workspace activity, employee accounts, or shared content.
  • Your violation of these Terms or law.
  • Your violation of rights of another person or entity.
  • Your payment disputes, chargebacks, fraud, or tax obligations.
  • Your unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering, automation, or misuse of APIs, databases, systems, or payment flows.

We may control the defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with us.

24. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Daftrah LLC in its place of formation and principal business operations, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@taskremindering.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Your notice should include your name, account email, a description of the dispute, and the relief requested.

If a dispute is not resolved informally within 30 days, it will be resolved in the competent courts located in the jurisdiction of Daftrah LLC's principal business operations, unless applicable law requires another forum.

Where permitted by law, disputes must be brought individually and not as a class, representative, consolidated, or collective action. Nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer, privacy, regulatory, intellectual-property, small-claims, or injunctive-relief rights.

25. Export, Sanctions, and Compliance

You may not use, export, re-export, import, sell, transfer, or provide access to the service in violation of sanctions, export control, anti-corruption, anti-money-laundering, or trade laws.

You represent that you are not located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions and are not on a restricted-party list.

26. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by email, in-app notice, website notice, app-store disclosure, or another reasonable method where required.

The updated Terms become effective on the effective date stated above unless a later date is provided. Your continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the service and cancel any subscription before renewal.

27. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including cloud outages, payment-processor outages, app-store delays, Apple or Google service issues, notification-provider failures, email-provider failures, internet failures, power failures, cyberattacks, labor disputes, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, pandemics, legal restrictions, or third-party system failures.

28. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, corporate transaction, or by operation of law.

29. Severability, No Waiver, and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, checkout disclosures, plan terms, app-store terms, support policies, and other referenced policies form the entire agreement between you and TaskRemindering regarding the service.
